Capital Campaign
Twenty years ago a group of concerned Woodstown High School alumni and friends raised the funds necessary to create the current fitness center. Over the years, this equipment has served the students of the district well. During these two decades, however, the technology and theories on how to properly train have changed. With the current equipment now becoming unserviceable, we need to completely renovate the fitness center.
Dan Evans, the WHS Athletic Trainer, has developed a plan to renovate the Fitness Center, with updated equipment and technology. The equipment purchased will serve both the high school and middle school students. The equipment will be used during Physical Education Classes and by the students after school for intramural and athletic weight training. It will also be available to the district staff members.
Fundraising for this project officially began with the awarding a $2,500.00 grant from the Woodstown/Pilesgrove School Foundation, Inc. in September, 2009. The WPSF continues to support this effort by assisting in fundraising efforts, including the 3rd Annual Run For Education, being held on Saturday, June 12. Other fundraisers are being scheduled and will be announced on this web page as they are confirmed.
